FAQ

Is the Mills International Center only for international students?

The “International” in our name can be misleading, but the term is there to emphasize that we are a meeting place for the world. So please, whether you are a US or international student, everyone is welcome to visit and use our services.

What is the Mills Center for?

For many, many things great things. First of all, it’s a comfortable, relaxing place to just study, or meet up with friends. There are many couches, chairs, and tables for you to use freely. There are also some computers that you can use. If you’re looking for reference books on various countries, or simply a good magazine or travel DVD, you can check them out from our library. And finally, we are a venue for events. We host some of our own, as well as provide a space for other campus organizations and departments to hold both social and educational events.

Q: Am I allowed to bring food and drink into the Mills International Center?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring in food and drinks for yourself. Our only request is that you try your best to not spill anything, and clean up after yourself.

Is the Mills International Center the same thing as the International Student Association (ISA)?

No, but since we’re neighbors (ISA’s office is right next door), we’re like family. It gets confusing because ISA has hosted many events at Mills, including their popular coffee hour.

What events are coming up at the Mills Center?

For up-to-date information on events that are organized by Mills, please visit our Facebook. Please note that the Mills Facebook page does not include the many events that are held at Mills, but not directly organized by us. If you need more information or have questions about additional events, feel free to email, call, or stop by our front desk. We’d be more than happy to help you!
